Ryokan Saikawa is located in Kuroishi Hot Spring Village, the quiet retreat of Kuroishi City, situated east of Kuroishi City in Aomori Prefecture and west of the Hakkoda Mountain Range. This area is rich in natural beauty. It offers excellent access to the Hakkoda Mountains and Lake Towada, and is also the starting point on the Kuroishi side of National Route 394, which leads to eastern Aomori Prefecture cities like Towada and Hachinohe.
The Aseshigawa River flows in front of the inn, with the Aseshigawa Dam located just upstream. Nearby attractions include the famous autumn foliage spot “Nakano Momiji Mountain,” the Tsugaru Kokeshi Museum, and the Tsugaru Traditional Crafts Museum, all within walking distance. In winter, the area around the inn transforms into a snow-covered, silver world. It also offers excellent access to Hakkoda Ski Resort and Owani Onsen Ski Resort (via expressway), both just 30 to 40 minutes away.

Kuroishi Hot Springs is a collective name for Nuru-yu Hot Springs, Itadome Hot Springs, Ochiai Hot Springs, Aonagi Hot Springs, and others. Our inn is located in Itadome Hot Springs. The water quality of Itadome Hot Springs contains calcium, sodium, sulfate, chloride, and metasilicic acid, known for its skin-beautifying effects. Our inn features a direct flow of water from the source.
